Digital Forensics

The practice of gathering, analysing and preserving data from digital media (computers, mobile phones etc) in an authentic, accurate and complete form so that it may be acceptable as evidence in a court of law.   This evidence may include, but is not limited to, deleted emails or files, computer logs, indecent images, spreadsheets and accounting information.

At Auto Intelligence our digital forensic experts recover evidence and analyse data, whilst at all times maintaining a strict chain of custody to ensure that the evidence is preserved in its original form and therefore admissible in a court of law.

Computer Forensics or Computer Forensic Analysis is the preservation and interrogation of digital media to determine if illegal, unauthorised or unusual activities have taken place.

Mobile Forensics or Mobile Phone Analysis is the recovery and forensics analysis of evidential data from mobile phone handsets, GSM, SIM/USIM (3G) cards and attached memory storage cards.  Through the use of specialist techniques and procedures an interrogation of this media can present a wealth of information.

Forensic Data Recovery is the recovery of data from a physically or logically damaged device.  Forensic Recovery follows all the procedures and guidelines as used for both Computer Forensics and Mobile Forensics to guarantee the continuity and integrity of the data evidence.  Forensic Data Recovery is used when the device in question is of possible evidential value and the data contained upon cannot be changed.
